Family Support Center Services

Our Assessment Center aims to prevent and divert youth from juvenile justice and child welfare systems through a single point of contact which identifies underlying issues contributing to concerning behavior and partners with youth and families to access individualized services and/or resources.

Our Family Support Center is a Safe Teen Assessment Center and is open from 9am to 6pm. Walk-in referrals are welcome during those hours. This new facility entrance is located at 1318 West Hanley Avenue.

Online referrals can be submitted by the above “Click Here” button ( or by calling 208-765-0688.

For respite or emergency shelter placements, calls at 208.667.1189 are welcome 24/7 but screening is necessary before placement. Walk-in respite and shelter placements are not accepted – phone screening required.

This new facility on our campus was a grant award from the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections. We are deeply grateful to be the North Idaho Safe Teen Assessment Center, one of only a few in the entire state. Operational funds are through additional grant funding as well as Canopy Village Foundation.
